On March 19-20, the Centre for International Environmental Studies (CIES) of the Graduate Institute of Geneva hosted a new workshop of the research project on ‘Effectiveness of Partnerships for Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals‘. The project, which is coordinated by Prof Liliana Andonova and supported by the Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS), has been hosted by the CIES since Fall 2017. Its main objective is to offer a novel interdisciplinary methodology and in-depth comparative analysis of different pathways to the effectiveness of global public-private partnerships and their contribution to sustainable development.

During the workshop, which was held online in order to respond to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the most recent drafts of the planned project outputs were discussed with the help of external commentators from other academic institutions. In addition, the research team further refined its publication strategy and timeline, with a view towards finalising the project over the coming months.
